Great episode featuring Lamar Kellywood and Nicholas Smith. We talk about being a Pilgrim parent, tough guys and E-cigarettes, and how hard it must have been to paint pictures of Jesus. Recorded at the Complex in downtown Salt Lake City before and during the Comedy Roadkill show. Ben and I get two other comics together and do some joke writing. Not sure if we wrote a joke but we had fun doing it. Enjoy.
On this episode we have the return of comedian Andy Farnsworth, who due to my bad technical skills was just a small voice in the background a few episodes back. We are also joined by comedian Sheldon Beitler. Recorded at the Complex in SLC during the weekly Comedy Roadkill show. We talk about cooking at altitude, Ben's many facebook profile pictures and jokes that Sheldon's and Jamie's wives won't let us tell.
Fun episode. Recorded at The Complex in downtown SLC. Ben and I are joined by comedian Gina Barker and everyones favorite mining comedian Soda Pop. Gina talks about time travel, I try to understand soccer fan and Soda Pop sings us a song.
Awesome episode. We have the pleasure of having Mark Weitz aka Alien Warrior Comedian and John Hilder from Las Vegas on the show. We record at Sugar Space during the SLC Comedy Carnival. We talk about jokes that we don't want to give up. Mark talks about his confusion with FUBU in Utah and we all wonder about inappropriate selfies.
Recorded on the fourth day of the SLC Comedy Carnival. Jamie and Ben sit down with comedians Whitney Streed from Portland and local favorite Jason Harvey. We talk about our unified hatred for Captain Planet, where artiest go when they die, and why Ben did not show up to Jamie's 40th birthday.
Special episode of the podcast. We recorded live in front of an audience at 5 Monkeys in Murray Utah. This is the first time we ever recorded a live podcast. We brought in four comedians, each perform for 7 to 10 minutes and then we interviewed them after about some of their jokes and how they wrote them. This show gives you some great insight into the world of the comedian. We are joined by Jordon Mazziotti, Michael Schooley, Grant Collet, and Dylan Cole. With Brian Pope up in the birds nest recording and live streaming the show he chimes in with some questions from people who were live chatting with us on the show.
If you like the C word then you are in for a treat. On this episode Jamie and Ben sit down with Cody Eden and David Pate at the Complex in downtown SLC. Jamie talks about how he wants to die, Cody is looking forward to the apocalypse, and David talks about why the C word is actually a compliment.
Welcome to a special episode of the podcast. Recorded at The Complex in downtown SLC Utah. Jamie and Ben talk with Levi Rounds and Christopher Stephenson about Chaz Blackwood. Chaz Blackwood is a famous British comedian who has worked with the likes of Russell Brand and has been on BBC. Now he is in America trying to make it. He keeps on running into one problem. IT'S ALL A LIE!
Chaz Blackwood better known as Scotty Lee, better known as a hack comic who lies about his comedy career, oh yeah and has a thing for underage girls. We use this episode not to talk about jokes or joke writing but to expose Chaz and we use Chaz as a case study as to why you as a comedian should not try to skip steps A thru Y to get to Z (Fame).
Hello Hello, Episode 9 is full of fun as we have our podcast highjacked by Jose Bacio. Ben and I are also joined by fun loving comedians Brian Pope and Dean Weber. Recorded at 5 Monkeys in Murray Utah. Ben talks about how he has only been depressed twice in his life. Dean re-writes the titles to some of his favorite rap songs. Brian enlightens us on easy girls. And I talk about how I want to die.
We have another gem of a podcast for you. We are joined by two outstanding comedians Trenton Davis and Steve Soelberg. We talk about how I finally got my Eskimo joke to work. I start a new joke about happy people in H&R block commercials. Steve brings up two things that has everyone worried, Koala Aids and the shortage of helium. Trenton has a great heart to heart conversation with his girl friends vibrator. And Ben talks about something with big words that I can never follow.
We have a great episode for you. Special guests Andy Farnsworth and Jonny Brandin join Ben Fuller and myself to talk about a few jokes we are working on. We cover hilarious topics such as the great spearmint drought of the 70's, Eskimos, and a cat in an iron lung. Join us for the fun.
Its been a few since our last Where's the Punch podcast. But the wait is well worth it. I have the pleasure of working with all the comics on the show. I have Christopher Stephens, Natasha Mower, and my partner in crime Ben Fuller on this episode. Recorded at The Complex in downtown SLC before the weekly Comedy Roadkill show.
We are working some new material and trying to help each other come up with some punch lines. I am not sure if we ever do but we have a lot of fun trying.
In this episode I am joined by several good friends of mine, Ben Fuller, Brian Pope, and John Hilder. We had a great time recording this podcast at the Complex in SLC Utah where they host a weekly comedy showcase and open mic for comics. Its one of several venues that have open up in SLC to comedy. You can now get on stage almost everyday on SLC if you know where to go.
Brian Pope talks about his experience with a recent visit to planned parenthood (Ladies, he's available). John Hilder talks about the difference in a woman showing her boobs in public and a man showing his manhood in public. As you can imagine there is a difference. Ben Fuller discusses several jokes he will not do on stage. And I talk about a very stock and played joke that I just can't get out of my system.
On this episode we have the delightful honor of featuring Collen Waters and Melissa Merlot. As always I am joined by by good friend and co-host Ben Fuller. Be warned, Collen drops F bombs like a B52 over Germany. We talk about Cocaine filled tampons, small men who cough like monsters, and why women love to remodel men. This episode was recorded at The Complex in SLC Utah. They have a weekly comedy showcase called Comedy Roadkill that is followed up with an open mic. We did something different on this episode. What we did was talk about a joke that each of us were planning to perform that night, we talk a bit about writing the joke and we inserted the performed joke into the podcast. It helps give you an idea of how a comic comes up with a joke and some of the madness that happens during the writing and performing process. Let me know what you think.
Welcome to the tri-fecta of podcast's. Our third installment of Where's the Punch. This episode includes my half white co-host Ben Fuller, up and comer Natashia Mower, and the creator of the K-Town Comedy show Steve McInelly. In this episode we talk about emergency room wait times, things we miss or don't miss about being fat, and somehow Ben pulls us into a conversation about Star Trek.
Where's the Punch? That is a question comics ask all the time. In this podcast I get a few of my fellow comics together and try to help each other write comedy. Sometimes with success and sometimes in a burning ball of nonsense that your English teacher would be ashamed of.
This is the first episode of the podcast. It features Ben Fuller, Greg Beeler, Jonny Brandin, and myself. We talk about everything from what Greg looks for in a woman to Ben's rant about Mitt Romney.
